Nine months after he signed his recording deal with Galaxy Records, Lee McCormack will perform a concert at home.
The Rock Hill graduate has performed with such artists as Ricky Lynn Gregg, Kenny Chesney, Sara Evans, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Gary Allan, and Tim Rushlow.
His first single off the "Open Road" CD titled "What Turns You On" rode up the indie charts to number twelve in the Nation and is still holding steady on the charts. "We have released a second single to radio now" said McCormack which is track number ten off the cd titled "What A Heart Will Do For Love" and we are receiving very good response to this single also". Rick Lewis (owner of Galaxy Records) stated that many equiries have been made about Lee from Nashville TN to California, with many major labels tracking his chart action. "I feel that the folks here at home will be very impressed when they see the show," said Lewis who is also McCormack’s Manager. "For those who remember Lee performing his karaoke shows all I can say is, you haven't seen half of what this guy can do." Ricky Lynn Gregg who had a number one hit with the song "If I had A Cheatin' Heart" said after doing a show with Lee at the Wild Dawg Saloon in Huntington W.Va. "I felt as if I was closing the show for Lee instead of him opening for me". Tim Rushlow from the group Little Texas summed it up in five words. "He is a great entertainer". Kenny Chesney and Gary Allan both have said to me, "Lee is well on his way to becoming very popular in the music industry" said Lewis. The classic 1959 corvette pictured on the CD cover will also be on display for the concert. The show is scheduled to begin at 8 pm. Sunday. Submitted to the Ironton Tribune
