Mildred Schafer
Feb. 16, 1921-May 19, 2002 Mildred Frasher Schafer, 81, of Ironton, formerly of Kenova, W.Va., died Sunday at Sunset Nursing Home in Coal Grove. The Fort Gay, W.Va., native was born Feb. 16, 1921, the daughter of the late John L. and Leota L. Frazier Frasher.
She was the wife of the late William "Bill" Schafer.
She was retired from A.K. Steel and she was a member of First Baptist Church of Kenova. She was a graduate of Ceredo-Kenova High School.
Survivors include two sisters, Roberta Perry of Kenova, W.Va., and Marie Hooser of Bay Village; and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Wilbur Frasher of Kenova and B.J. and Ramona Frasher of Ironton.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova, with the Rev. Robert L. Salmons officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
