July 9, 1918-May 29, 2002ASHLAND, Ky. -- Helen Louise Roderick Hessler, 83, of Ashland died Wednesday at her home.

The Wilkes-Barre, Pa., native was born July 9, 1918, the daughter of the late Norman and Edna Jones Roderick.

She was the wife of the late William Hessler Jr.

She was owner and operator of the American Dry Cleaners in Ironton, Ohio, where she retired in 1994, and she was a member of first Presbyterian Church of Ashland. She also was a founding member of King's Daughters Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandy Munari of Ashland and Libby Blanton of Lexington; three grandchildren, Beth Lu of Orlando, Fla., Lynn Durham of Marietta, Ga.,and Kathi Blanton of Indianapolis, Ind.; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Jim Roderick of Wilkes-Barre and Bud Roderick of Richmond, Va.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Lazear Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Richard Smith officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
