#039;Proud to be an American#039;

In honor of the Fourth of July and our proud American heritage, The Ironton Tribune is publishing a special section on Sunday, June 30 entitled &uot;Proud to be an American.&uot;

We are asking our readers to share thoughts and feelings on why they are proud to be an American by writing essays and submitting them to The Tribune. Essays must be 200 words or less. The essays may be on a patriotic memory, how the writer celebrates the Fourth of July, how the writer celebrated a war’s end or on any event or person that displays patriotism.

All essays must be received at The Ironton Tribune office, 2903 S. Fifth St., Ironton, by 5 p.m., Monday June 24. They can be dropped off at the office, mailed to: The Ironton Tribune, &uot;Proud to be an American,&uot; P.O. Box 647, Ironton, Ohio 45638, or sent by e-mail
