The arraignment for Shake Shoppe owner Garry Castle, scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, was postponed due to a scheduling conflict.
According to the Lawrence County Prosecutor J.B. Collier Jr.’s Office, the arraignment has been rescheduled for July 10.
Castle was indicted last month by a Lawrence County grand jury on first-degree felony arson. If convicted, he faces a prison sentence of between three and 10 years, and a maximum $20,000 fine.
The indictment came only weeks after Castle admitted in a two-paragraph written statement that he set fire to his South Third Street eatery. Teresa Moore/The Ironton Tribune
