Two Ironton men were arrested early Thursday morning and charged with assaulting another man at the Rich Oil Gas Station on State Route 93.
Paul Wilson, 19, of 335 Schug Hollow Road, and Joshua Jiles, 18, of 1578 Sugar Creek Ridge-Vesuvius Road, were taken into custody at Wilson’s home by Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies.
Cris Miller, 25, of 80 Private Drive 1699 Pine Grove-Smokey Row Road was taken to Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital with multiple injuries to his face, head and mouth.
Witnesses say Miller was in the process of pumping gas when Wilson approached and began arguing with him.
Wilson allegedly hit Miller and he fell to the ground.
Jiles is accused of kicking Miller after allegedly threatening witnesses not to try and jump in to stop the fight or help Miller.
Both men will appear July 22 in Ironton Municipal Court to answer these charges. Teresa Moore/The Ironton Tribune
