The Point should get its fifth confirmed tenant by the first of April when Total Safety, Inc. moves its South Point offices into the industrial park.

In business since October 2001, the move from its 304 Solida Road office will be Total Safety's third move because it has continued to grow, said Darin Dillow, vice president for the company. His brother David is also vice president and their father Paul is president of the family business.

"We are very excited about the move," Darin Dillow said. "This will give us room to grow and ample space for our employees."

Currently, the company employs 26 full-time employees and expects to hire several more full-time workers but the exact number depends on when the bids for various jobs are ready to be filled, he said.

After finishing its own building earlier this year, Mid-Valley Supply is putting the finishing touches on the 8,000 square foot spec building that it will lease to Total Safety for the next five years.

Mid-Valley is owned by M&M Services Inc., a Kentucky corporation owned and operated by Marty A. Meyer. Calgon Inc., Superior Marine Inc. and Ohio University's Center for Development are also either in the park or in the planning stages of locating there.

Total Safety Inc. conducts Occupational Safety & Health Administration consulting, provides security guards for businesses, security monitoring, private investigation and sells safety and industrial supplies such as gloves, hard hats, safety glasses.

"Sitting next to Mid-Valley is a good fit for us. Being located in a industrial park is very beneficial," Dillow said. "The Point is really poised for growth."
