South Point issues boil order

Due to a water line break on Feb. 21, 2003, on Third Street West, the South Point Water Department is advising to vigorously boil for at least one minute, any water used for drinking, including water used to make ice, cooking or oral hygiene. The advisory area is for customers from the railroad tracks on 4th Street West to Clearview Sub.
The South Point Water Department has no evidence at this time that the water system is contaminated. The possibility does exist however that the water system is contaminated and is issuing this advisory as a precaution.
If no further notice is given after Wednesday, Feb. 26, then samples are normal and the water is safe.
