After winning a state championship last year, Bailie Brownstead was going to have a tough time improving on such a feat.

But she did.

Brownstead, 5, was the 2002 State of Ohio tumbling champion. She matched that accomplishment this year by winning a second straight state tumbling title.

Now she's gone even further by capturing the gold medal at the AAU National Tumbling meet held July 25 in Detroit.

Brownstead was competing against teams from across the country.

Bailie is a member of the Tuff Enuff tumbling team coached by Dianna Isaac of Ironton, and she is student at the Yvonne DeKay School of Dance.

Bailie is the daughter of Heath and Lori Brownstead of Ironton.
