Lady Tigers post volleyball win in final home game

The final home game was one to remember.
The Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers volleyball team closed out their home schedule with an exciting win over the South Point Lady Pointers Wednesday, 8-15, 17-15, 15-6.
Jamie Parker celebrated Senior Night with 10 points, two aces and 18 setting assists for Ironton. Mandi Boykin had 14 points, Sarah Cartmell six points, seven kills and three blocks and Andrea Rudmann three points, 10 kills and two blocks.
Also scoring for Ironton were Sara Hacker with five points, Ali Markins four with an ace, and Tracy Mays two points and an ace.
Alicia Joyce led South Point with nine points and Jamie Moore eight. Alicia Bridges added seven points, Maria Viglianco six, Summer Malone four and Latisha Koukas three.
In the reserve match, Ironton won in straight sets 15-8, 15-7.
Jennifer Thornton had seven points, Nikki Harbolt and Julie Belville six each, Shawnte Lewis five, Rachel Walker three, Samantha Cameron two and Krista Markel one.
South Point's Alisha Queen had six points, Ashley Porter and Christina Corns three apiece, Ashley Walker two and Juana Kipp one.
Ironton plays at 6 p.m. Monday at Green.
