COLUMBUS - Jason Harmon is coming home.
Well, close enough.
The former Ironton Fighting Tigers All-Ohio standout will return to Ohio for one last college game as the Michigan State Spartans
face the Ohio State Buckeyes Saturday.
The 5-foot-11, 195-pound junior safety leads the Spartans secondary. He earned Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week following Michigan State's win over Illinois.
In the win, Harmon helped the Spartans generate 21 points off turnovers. He returned an interception 21 yards to set up one score, then stripped an Illini running back of the football and ran it back 52 yards for a touchdown.
The redshirt junior had eight tackles including four solo stops and a tackle for the loss.
Harmon is the fourth different Michigan State player to earn Big Ten defensive honors. He joins Greg Taplin, Mike Labinjo and Eric Smith.
