- Right-hander Aaron Myette agreed to a minor league contract with the Cincinnati Reds that will pay him $380,000 if he makes the major league roster.
Myette, 26, opened last season on Cleveland's disabled list and later made two relief appearances for the Indians, giving up seven runs in 2 2-3 innings. He also had a 4.59 earned run average in 23 appearances for Triple-A Buffalo.
The Indians traded him to Philadelphia in July for outfielder Lyle Mouton. He spent the rest of the season in the minors.
Myette was a first-round pick by the Chicago White Sox in the 1997 amateur draft. He went 0-2 in three starts and three relief appearances for the White Sox in 1999-2000, and 6-10 in 27 starts and seven relief appearances for Texas in 2001-02.
