River Valley beats cold-shooting RH

PEDRO - The temperature was starting to drop outside, but not as fast as inside.
The Rock Hill Redmen suffered a cold shooting night in a 41-34 upset loss to the River Valley Raiders Tuesday.
Rock Hill fell to 9-6 overall and 4-2 in the Ohio Valley Conference, one and one-half games behind first place Chesapeake.
The Redmen scored just six points in each of the first two quarters as they fell behind 16-12 at the half.
Roger Joseph scored six points the third quarter as Rock Hill closed the gap to 24-23, but River Valley was able to convert 8 of 9 from the foul line in the fourth quarter to seal the win as the Redmen were forced to foul.
Jared Swain scored 11 points, Colby Reese nine points and Steven Harder eight to lead River Valley (4-10, 4-3).
K.C. Christian had 11 points, Joseph eight and Rickie McDonie and Derrick Martin seven each for Rock Hill.
In the reserve game, Rock Hill won 38-35 as Artie Mullins and Nick Snavely scored 13 each. Brian Morrow and Cody Edwards had seven apiece for the Raiders.
