COLUMBUS - An Ohio State football player already charged in a campus robbery was arrested again on Monday, accused of violating an order prohibiting him from being on school grounds, police said.

Tight end Louis Irizarry was arrested about 3 a.m. after an Ohio State police officer pulled over his vehicle, police said.

Records showed that Irizarry received a letter from Student Judicial Affairs on May 1, informing him that he was not permitted on campus without permission, said Rick Amweg, the assistant police chief.

Irizarry, 19, was taken to Franklin County jail after his arrest Monday.

He posted bond and pleaded innocent to a misdemeanor charge of criminal trespass in Franklin County Municipal Court, according to his attorney, James Tyack.

Irizarry and another football player, 18-year-old running back Ira Guilford, were charged on May 1 after another student called police and said he was jumped by two men who stole his wallet, police said. The players were arrested shortly later.

Irizarry and Guilford pleaded innocent to robbery charges at an arraignment Monday afternoon in Franklin County Common Pleas Court.

Ohio State coach Jim Tressel suspended the sophomores indefinitely following their arrest.

Irizarry already was on probation after he pleaded guilty in January to assault and disorderly conduct charges following an October fight in a campus dorm room. A judge has set a hearing for July 8 to determine whether Irizarry's probation should be revoked and if he should serve a suspended six-month sentence.

Irizarry, a 6-foot-5-inch, 235-pound tight end from Youngstown, played in seven games, mostly on special teams, last season. Guilford, a 6-foot, 190-pound tailback from Hoboken, N.J., played in five games last year, rushing for 68 yards on 28 carries.
