Police still searching for bank robber

Ironton police this week will continue their search for a man who robbed the US Bank on Third and Jones streets.
The robbery occurred Thursday afternoon.
Ironton Police Detective Jim Akers said officials with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation are expected in town today to examine the getaway car for fingerprints. The man who robbed the bank took a 2000 black Ford Focus from a bank employee. The car was abandoned a short time later on the Bartram & Son grocery store parking lot a few blocks away.
The robber is described as a tall, slender white male with dark hair and a beard.
