One of three people charged in connection with vandalism at Lake Vesuvius pleaded guilty Wednesday in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.
Amanda Lunsford, 23, of Ashland, Ky., pleaded guilty to a charge of vandalism. Lawrence County Common Pleas Judge Richard Walton sentenced Lunsford to four years community controlled sanctions and ordered her to pay $2,050 restitution to the Wayne National Forest.
The other two people arrested with her, Jana Turley of Coal Grove and John Larsen of Ironton
pleaded guilty last month for their parts in the crime.
Also, an Ironton man arrested for possessing stolen cigarettes entered a guilty plea last week in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court and was sentenced Wednesday.
Marcus Birchfield, 26, of 514 N. Sixth St. pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree felony receiving stolen property.
Walton sentenced Birchfield to 11 months in prison and ordered him to pay restitution to the victim in an amount yet to be determined.
Birchfield was arrested last month in the 600 block of Walnut Street on a routine traffic violation.
A search of Birchfield's car at that time uncovered 55 cartons of cigarettes that had been stolen from a Speedway convenience store in Maysville, Ky.
