KENT (AP) - Ahmad Bradshaw scored two second-half touchdowns - one on a 75-yard pass from Stan Hill - as Marshall overcame a 10-point deficit to beat Kent State 27-17 on Saturday.

Kent State (1-6, 0-4 Mid-American Conference) built a 17-7 halftime lead on David Alston's 2-yard touchdown run, Charles' Newton's 31-yard scoring reception from Joshua Cribbs and Travis Mayle's 31-yard field goal.

Marshall (3-3, 3-0) took possession at the Golden Flashes' 3 after punter Joshua Brazen was penalized for kicking the ball out of bounds after fumbling it.

Three plays later Bradshaw scored on a 1-yard plunge.

After Kent State's Travis Mayle missed a field goal attempt midway through the third quarter, Marshall took over at its own 25. On the second play, Hill tossed a screen pass to Bradshaw that he turned into a 75-yard touchdown that gave the Thundering Herd their first lead.

On its final six possessions, Kent State punted twice, missed a field goal and Robert Terrell, Chris Royal and Willie Smith intercepted passes.

Ian O'Connor added field goals of 26 and 24 yards for Marshall to close the scoring.

Hill completed only 9 of 23 passes for 143 yards with one interception, splitting time with Graham Gochneaur who hit on 6 of 12 passes for 55 yards and a touchdown.

Joshua Cribbs completed 13 of 34 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown with three interceptions for the Golden Flashes. He also rushed for 37 yards on 16 carries.
