Two Ironton men charged in weekend church break-ins

Two men are behind bars this morning in connection with a weekend church break-in, and authorities said they will likely face charges in connection with another church break-in as well as the recent theft of a four wheeler.

Christopher A. Frazier 24, of 1104 1/2 Park Ave., Ironton, and Scott D. Christian, 25, 662 State Route 650, Ironton, were arrested early Sunday morning at Central Christian Church at 1541 S. Seventh St.

Ironton Police detective Jim Akers said the two men were allegedly caught inside the church. Frazier was charged with vandalism and breaking and entering, Christian was charged with breaking and entering, vandalism and receiving stolen property. They were taken to jail.

Coal Grove police officers and Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies

also assisted in the arrest.

Akers said both men will likely be charged in connection with the break in at Sharon Baptist Church on S. Sixth Street last week and in connection with the theft of a four wheeler from an area residence Oct. 5.
