"The second half killed us. We had way too many turnovers the second half. We kept turning it over so we never got a shot at the basket. And on top of that, we missed way too many free throws," Green coach Melissa Knapp said.

Leigh Ann Williams scored 17 points to lead Green, 2-2 overall and 1-2 in the SOC. Heidi Tackett added 7 points.

Eastern had three players in double figures as Rebecca Day scored 21, Kayla Ison 15 and Brittany Helton 10.

The game was 9-9 at the end of the first quarter. Tackett had all 7 of her points while Day got 6 for Eastern.

Both teams scored 8 points in the second quarter with Williams getting 5 for the Lady Bobcats.

Day had 6 points in the third quarter to help offset 8 points by Williams as Eastern pulled ahead 33-27.

The Lady Eagles pulled away in the fourth quarter as Day scored 7 more points. Elista Hall had 4 of Green's 12 points in the quarter.

The Lady Bobcats fell to 2-2 overall and 1-2 in the SOC.
