PEDRO - The Fairland Lady Dragons are getting more consistent. And so is Megan Auxier.

With Auxier enjoying her third straight double-double, Fairland beat the Rock Hill Redwomen 52-40 Thursday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.

Auxier had 12 points and 10 rebounds to go with six steals as Fairland improved to 4-8 overall and 2-1 in the OVC. Brianna Davis had a team-high 19 points while Kara Riley grabbed seven rebounds.

"We're starting to be more consistent. Auxier has been playing well, and Kristen (Berry) coming back has helped," Fairland coach Nathan Speed said.

"We played very well defensively. We boxed out well and limited them to one shot. The only negative is we didn't come out the second half with the intensity we should have."

Mandi McKenzie had 16 points and eight rebounds for Rock Hill (1-7, 0-3). Brooke Long added 9 points.

Auxier had 7 points in the first quarter as Fairland took a 19-14 lead. Long had 8 of her points to keep the Redwomen close.

Davis got 8 points in the second quarter and the defense limited Rock Hill to 4 points to make it 37-18 at the half.

The lead was 42-28 after three quarters. McKenzie, who had 14 of her points in the second half, scored 8 points in the fourth quarter as Rock Hill outscored the Lady Dragons 12-10.
