Will the real Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers bats please step to the plate?

The Lady Tigers got just one hit in two different games, but banged out 15 hits in an 18-8 win over the Coal Grove Lady Hornets.

On Wednesday, Ironton had one hit in a a 6-0 loss at South Point, them came back later in the day to win at Coal Grove.

The bats were missing again on Thursday as Julie Bellville got the only Ironton hit in a 9-1 loss to Minford.

Ironton (2-2) was led by Tracy Mays in the win over Coal Grove as she went 3-for-4. Karissa McClellan was 2-for-3, Lindsey Mooney was 2-4 and Brandi Norris 2-5 for the Lady

Tigers while Calle Kehoe, Merrilyn Johnson, Edi Taylor, Nikki Harbolt and Jessica Weaver all had one hit.

Ironton travels to Portsmouth Monday and Wheelersburg Tuesday.
