COAL GROVE - The second season of racing at the Rocky Top Raceway is set to start on Friday night.

Rocky Top will be running Late Models-$1,200 to win, Modifieds-$800 to win, Limited Late Models-$500 to win and Bombers-$400 to win. Hot laps are scheduled to start around 7 p.m.

For those that come out for opening night, they can expect to see a lot of racing action. Last season the competition was fierce with some of the area's best drivers racing at Rocky Top.

Some of last seasons winners include Jackie Boggs, Eddie Carrier Jr., Kenny Christy, Nick Bocook, Todd Robinson, Eddie Harmon, Tony Sites, Randy Boggs, John Melvin, Steve Dillow, and Conard Newman.

The Rocky Top Raceway is a fast, 3/8ths mile, high banked, clay oval.
