PROCTORVILLE - If you like spending time in the great outdoors, hunting or fishing - Todd's Sporting Goods may have just what you're looking for.

Todd's Sporting Goods, owned and operated by lifelong Proctorville resident Todd Gillispie, is located at 11285 State Route 7 in Proctorville - exactly 3 - miles east of the Lawrence County Fairgrounds. Gillispie opened for business in January.

"I've always wanted to have a gun shop," he said.

Gillispie said that he thought that owning a sporting goods store was always something that he'd like to do, so he built the building, got his license and opened for business.

The store sells guns, ammo, bows, crossbows and hunting accessories. Gillispie makes arrows in the store. Gillispie also offers fishing equipment and will soon carry live bait.

The store also carries items for youth such as BB guns, air soft guns, slingshots and youth fishing poles among other items. Gillispie said that it is good for the youth to have something to do when they come in with their parents, and that a lot of children fish and hunt as well.

"I've always hunted and fished," Gillispie said.

Gillispie also offers individualized service for each customer. He does special orders, so he can get customers what they are looking for. He said that if they do not have something in stock, they can get it for you; handguns, within one day and long guns within two days of ordering.

"We'll do anything we can to get what you need," he said. "If we don't have it in stock, we can get it for you."
