CINCINNATI - During the last homestand of the season, beginning with Tuesdays 7:10 p.m. game against the St. Louis Cardinals at Great American Ball Park, the Cincinnati Reds will sell complete sets of their 2005 bobblehead doll lineup and a Sean Casey figurine to raise money for the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.
A limited number of autographed sets featuring the Casey figurine and the bobbleheads of Ken Griffey Jr., Wily Mo Pena and Tony Perez will be sold for a minimum donation of $250. The same collection without autographs will be sold for a minimum donation of $25.
On Tuesday, the sets will go on sale at 5 p.m. at The Reds Team Shop by Majestic and beginning at 5:40 at the disaster relief kiosk inside Great American Ball Park.
The sets will remain on sale at those locations as long as supplies last and must be purchased with cash or credit cards only.
Autographed sets may be pre-ordered beginning Monday at 9 a.m. by calling (513) 765-7100. All phone orders must be picked up at the two ballpark locations.
Also throughout the homestand the Reds will continue to partner with Matthew 25: Ministries to collect canned food (fruits, vegetables, canned meats), cleaning supplies and personal hygiene products (including baby diapers and wipes). All items should be in new and original packaging.
Fans also can drop off donations for the relief effort at the Reds administration building offices at 100 Main Street from Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
Last Wednesday, Reds players and coaches donated that day's pay (approximately $230,000) to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort.
