Mooney deals Bellaire first loss, 20-13

STEUBENVILLE (AP) - Tony Brunetti scored on a 1-yard touchdown run in the second quarter to lead Youngstown Mooney to a 20-13 win over Bellaire in the Division IV state semifinal Saturday night.
Brunetti filled in for quarterback Derrell Johnson, who injured his right shin late in the second quarter. Nate Burney also rushed 37 times for 167 yards and scored a touchdown for the Cardinals (12-2).
Youngstown Mooney held Bellaire (13-1) to 187 yards total offense. Bellaire quarterback Nate Davis completed 6 of 18 passes for 79 yards. He also had touchdown runs of one and five yards.

36, Newark Catholic 35
CANTON (AP) - J.J. Kuczynski scored on a 4-yard touchdown run with 1:14 left and a successful two-point conversion gave Steubenville Catholic Central a 36-35 win over Newark Catholic in the Division VI state semifinal on Saturday night.
Following Kuczynski's touchdown, the Crusaders (11-3) lined up to attempt an extra point, which would have tied the game at 35. But the Crusaders snapped the ball to holder Greg Ashnead, who ran around the left side for the two-point conversion and the win.
Zach McPherson gained 123 yards on 23 carries for Newark Catholic (10-4).
Massillon Wash. 21,
Lakewood St. Edward 17
AKRON (AP) - Brian Gamble scored two touchdowns in the last five minutes of the fourth quarter Saturday to give Massillon Washington a 21-17 victory over Lakewood St. Edward in the Division I state semifinal.
Massillon Washington (13-1) trailed 17-7 early in the fourth quarter. But Gamble grabbed a touchdown pass with 5:21 remaining and then scored on a 5-yard run with 1:56 left to put Massillon Washington ahead.
Running back Nate Oliver scored for Lakewood St. Edward (12-1) in the first half, and quarterback Brandon Frohnapple hit Kyle Hubbbard on a 5-yard TD pass in the fourth.
Cincinnati St. Xavier 17, Hilliard Davidson 10
OXFORD (AP) - Frank Morand intercepted a pass in the end zone with 44 seconds left to preserve a lead and Cincinnati St. Xavier hung on to defeat Hilliard Davidson 17-10 in Saturday night's Division I state semifinal.
Morand's interception off Wildcats' quarterback Connor Dietz came on a fourth-and-11 play from the Bomber's own 23-yard line.
Chris Cionni had a 2-yard TD run for the Bombers (14-0).
Donnie Curtis had a 73-yard TD pass to Joe Ciamacco for the Wildcats (13-1).
