LUCASVILLE — Behind is not a good position.

The South Point Lady Pointers fell behind early and never recovered as they lost 60-41 to the Lynchburg Clay Lady Mustangs 6-41 Saturday in the Division III sectional finals.

“They came out hot early and got the lead and we were playing from behind the rest of the game,” Pointers coach Dave Adams said. “Even when we got the lead down to eight points we couldn’t make a basket or a free throw. We didn’t shoot well all day.”
