Junior Flyers post win over Fatima

The St. Joseph Junior Flyers picked up their ninth win of the season against two losses as they defeated Our Lady of Fatima (Huntington, W.Va.) 41-27 Thursday.

Joe “The Shoe” Unger scored 14 points, Payton “Place” Blair eight points, and Spencer Schwab and Katie “Ms. Hardware Hack” Hacker six each for the Flyers.

St. Joseph will hosts Ohio Valley Christian at 6 p.m. next Thursday.

Junior Pointers 8th grade beats Gallia

GALLIPOLIS — The South Point Junior Pointers 8th grade used a strong second half to get its ninth win of the season in a 51-47 victory over the Gallipolis Blue Devils Thursday.

Todd Mayo led all scorers with 24 points for the Pointers (9-3).

The 7th grade fell 50-18. Kyle Dickess had six points and Kevin Koukos five to lead the Pointers (5-7).

On Monday, Gallipolis visits Chesapeake while South Point hosts Fairland.

Junior Lady Dragons stay atop OVC race

PEDRO — The Fairland Junior Lady Dragons 8th grade remained unbeaten in the Ohio Valley Conference with a 34-19 win over the Rock Hill Junior Redwomen Thursday.

Emily McMaster scored 13 points and Shelby Fuller eight as Fairland improved to 7-0 in the OVC and 10-1 overall.

Tailor Guy had seven points and Krystal Jenkins six to pace Rock Hill.

Brittany Thompson had 13 points as Rock Hill won the 7th grade game 26-4.

Fairland hosts South Point Monday in a battle for first place in the OVC.
