A domestic dispute between a husband and wife resulted in the death of a Hamilton Township man late Saturday.

William “Billy” Goff, 51, was found dead at his home at 1628 County Road 1A by Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies. His wife, Megan Goff, 26, was arrested at the scene and charged with murder.

Megan Goff was taken to the Lawrence County Jail.

“She was not living there. She came to the residence with a weapon or two and Mr. Goff was shot multiple times,” Sheriff Tim Sexton said.

The couple had been separated since a Jan. 18 domestic violence dispute in which William Goff was arrested and several handguns were confiscated, Sexton said. That case may still be pending, Sexton said.
