CINCINNATI — The NFL is starting to recruit players at a younger age, but this is going a little overboard.

Trevor White, a sixth grade student at Ironton Middle School, will compete Sunday in the Ohio regional Punt, Pass & Kick competition at the Cincinnati Bengals’ Paul Brown Stadium complex.

White won the 12-13-year-old age division at the local level in Ironton at Tanks Memorial Stadium. He advanced to the sectional competition at Piketon and came away as the champion when he racked up 289.4 total feet in the three areas.
