Herd to face UAB as tourney opens

It’s all or nothing for the Marshall Thundering Herd.

Marshall’s hopes of playing in the postseason rest solely on winning the Conference USA tournament that tips off Wednesday.

The Herd is only 12-18 on the season and finished 9-7 in C-USA, so there is absolutely no chance of an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament or an invitation to the NIT.
