Wiley, Fairland trio place at Panther meet

CHESAPEAKE — One is the loneliest number for the Chesapeake Panthers.

The Panthers had just one wrestler among the elite in their annual invitational tournament Saturday.

Brad Wiley was the lone Panthers in the winner’s circle as he claimed the 285-pound division.

The Fairland Dragons had two winners and a runner-up. Chuck Wentz took first place in the 112-division and Michael Evans won at 140. Javon Hayes was second at 171 pounds.

Wellston won the tournament with a 5-0 record and Spring Valley (W.Va.) was second at 4-1.
