CHESAPEAKE — The South Point Junior Lady Pointers 8th grade basketball team is like a copy machine.

The Junior Lady Pointers duplicated their 7th grade season as they went undefeated and won the Ohio Valley Conference regular season and tournament titles.

South Point beat Chesapeake 41-19 Monday to win the OVC Middle School tournament after claiming the regular season title.

In two seasons, the Lady Pointers have a 32-0 record.

Kayla Fletcher scored 15 points and Jalynn Blackburn had 12 points to lead South Point. Kim Bennett had 7 for Chesapeake.

In the 7th grade game, South Point (13-2) beat regular season champion Fairland 45-33. The Lady Dragons had won both regular season meetings.

Erin Dillow had 13 points and Eryn Khounlavong had 11 points to lead a balanced South Point offense.

Samantha Lamb led Fairland with 10 points.
