The event will feature a $3,000 to win, $200 to start purse for the 40-lap Late Model feature with Modifieds and Bombers also racing.

The inaugural “Summer Sizzler” held on August 11, 2006 saw Tim Dohm take the $3,000 prize. Jackie Boggs led the first 38 laps of the race until a lap 39 restart saw Dohm and Eddie Carrier Jr. split Boggs and battle side by side for the lead for the remaining circuits.

Coming to the white flag, Carrier got caught up with some lapped traffic while battling side by side for the lead to allow Dohm to get by for the win.

The top five finishing order of the 2006 event was Dohm the winner, Carrier Jr. second, Jackie Boggs third, Chris Garnes fourth, and Rod Conley from 16th to finish fifth.

Through seven races in the 2007 season, Conley and Boggs have picked up two wins each with Delmas Conley, Josh McGuire, and Randy Boggs picking up one wins each in the Late Model division.

The last special event race on May 18th saw another very exciting finish with Conley taking the $2,000 win after brother R. J. Conley got in a crash with lapped traffic after leading the first 20 laps of the 30-lap feature.

Coal Grove native Shawn Holliday is the current points leader in the Late Models.

Gates will open at 4 p.m. with Hot Laps at 7:30 and racing around 8:45. General Admission will is $17 with pit admission $30.
