Scoring spurt lifts Jackson by Rock Hill

JACKSON — Good start, good finish, but in between …

The Rock Hill Redwomen got off to a good start, but a lull in the second quarter enabled the Jackson Ironladies to storm back for a 47-32 win Tuesday.

Rock Hill was up 15-9 when Jackson went on a 25-2 run and led at the end of the third quarter 35-23.

Ashlee Thacker had 10 points and Brooke Long 9 to lead the Redwomen as they opened the season. Samantha Harris had five rebounds.

Sharissa Cooper had 10 points and Jarin Wasch scored 9 to pace Jackson (1-1).
