A woman accused of drug trafficking and women accused of burglary were among those making appearances Wednesday in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.

Petina Vazquez, 28, of 223 Township Road 1186, South Point, pleaded guilty to one count each of trafficking in drugs and aggravated trafficking in drugs. Judge D. Scott Bowling sentenced her to four years community controlled sanctions under intensive supervised probation (CCS/ISP), ordered her to complete a rehabilitation program at a community based correctional facility and ordered her to pay $12,500 in fines.

“I believe this is a fair and just resolution of this case,” Vasquez’s attorney, Warren Morford said. “She has no previous criminal record and she is the mother of four young children.”
