It’s a tradition.

Again this year, the Ironton High School Marching Band is selling a Christmas ornament that features a well-known landmark.

This year, Memorial Hall is in the holiday spotlight, assistant band director Bill Rath said. Ornaments are $10 and can be obtained from any band member or by calling the band room at 532-0110.

In previous years, the band has sold ornaments that featured the Ironton-Russell Bridge, Park Avenue tunnel and the Lawrence County Courthouse.

“The great thing about the ornaments is the number of different ones still available,” Rath said. “If you have a favorite architectural site you may be able to collect it. Some people have collected the whole series.”

In addition to this year’s offering, the ornaments still available are the Lawrence County Historical Museum, Lawrence County Courthouse, Campbell House, the sesquicentennial, Tanks Memorial Stadium, Marting Hotel, the Ironton Fire Station, The Depot, St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, First Presbyterian Church and the old Lawrence County Medical Center.
