AID — Haily Pelletier and Libby Ash slammed home runs as the Symmes Valley Lady Vikings rolled past the Western Lady Indians 17-0 Monday in a Southern Ohio Conference game.

Ash not only went 3-3 at the plate but pitched a two-hitter over five innings. She struck out eight and walked one.

Pelletier, who went 2-3, hit a two-run homer in the second inning and Ash added a solo shot.

Symmes Valley jumped in front 7-0 in the first inning and led 10-0 after the second. Kayla Justice had a two-run triple to highlight a seven-run third inning.

The Lady Vikings banged out 13 hits including a double by Emily Bowling.

Symmes Valley (6-1, 4-0) hosts Ashland, Ky., Tuesday.
