David and Christi Bare of Ironton and Tom and Debbie Fields of Coal Grove announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their children, Ellen Christene and Aaron Scott.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Wilma Bare and the late Ted Bare and Emmett and Jean McIntyre and the late Betty McIntyre. She is a 2005 graduate of Rock Hill High School and is attending Ohio University Southern, majoring in middle school education, math and science. She is employed in the nursing office at OUS.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Betty Fields and the late Tom and Ruth Fields and the late George “Mick” and Barbara Sexton. He is a 2004 graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School and a 2008

graduate of Cedarville University. He is employed as a youth associate pastor at Sharon Baptist Church in Ironton.

The wedding will be 5 p.m. Aug. 2 at Mamre Missionary Baptist Church in Kitts Hill. A reception will follow at Dawson-Bryant High School cafetorium. The wedding and reception are open to family and friends.
