CLYDE ROACH

Clyde G. “Hop” Roach, 86, of Fairborn, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008.
He was born July 22, 1922, in Wilgus, a son of the late Cecil and Etta Roach. He was retired from W.P.A.F.B. after 30 years. He served three years in the Air Force, was a member of the N.A.R.F.E., the V.F.W. of Enon and was a former Mason. He was also instrumental in the growth of the Little League program in Fairborn.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera, and a brother, Cecil Roach, Jr.
Survivors include his daughter, Jane (Robert) Holland, of Enon; his sons, Steve (Pat) Roach, of Greenville, David (Sherri) Roach, of Springboro; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Treba Turner of Grand Rapids, Mich.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Burcham Funeral Home with Pastors Bruce Kramer and Wendell Hakala officiating. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Mausoleum in Springfield. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in his memory to St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Enon.
