Donna Faye Harper, 54, of Ironton, passed away Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.
The Lawrence County native was born Jan. 25, 1954, the daughter of the late Frank Call Sr. and Thelnize Lewis Call. She is survived by her husband, Walling P. Harper, whom she married March 18, 1973.
Mrs. Harper attended Ironton City Schools. She was a former cook for Tipton’s and Pic and Save and was a caregiver for Close To Home Assisted Living. She attended the Ironton City Mission Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a father-in-law, Wilson Harper and two nieces, Christy and Candy Ravencraft.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Keith and Tina Harper and Scott Harper, all of Ironton; two grandchildren, Morgan and Madison Harper; a sister, Helen Ravencraft, of Ironton; a brother and sister-in-law, Franklin and Emma Call, of Ironton; a nephew and his wife, Benny and Marsha Call, of Ironton; a mother-in-law, Gloria Harper, of Ironton; two aunts, Lucy Bruce, of Springfield and Mildred Brown, of Ironton; special friends, Charlie Rowe, of Springfield and Willard and Renee Riffe, of Johnson City, Tenn.; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Hayes-Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. James Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery. Friends may call 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
