Marian Pauline Jones, 84, of Portsmouth, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at Jo-Lin Health Center in Ironton.
She was born Jan. 25, 1924, in Portsmouth, to the late Willard and Lulu Ellen McNeal Spence.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death on Dec.14, 1965 by her husband LeRoy Jones whom she married in Greenup Co., Ky. Nov. 28, 1943; and a grandson, Brett Tilley.
She is survived by one son, Rickey Lee (Emily) Jones, of Sciotoville; two daughters, Anita (John) Strickler, of Rose Hill, Kan., and Linda (Grady) Runyon, of Ironton; one brother, Willard T. Spence, of West Portsmouth; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Patrick officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Burial Park. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
