BEAVERCREEKâ Floyd Emory Malone, 78, of Beavercreek, formerly of Pedro, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, in Hospice of Dayton in Dayton.
The Pedro native was born March 24, 1930, the son of the late Floyd and Catherine Altman Malone. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marylee Miller Malone, who died Feb. 22, 2006.
Mr. Malone attended Waterloo High School and Slabfork United Methodist Church. He moved to Dayton in 1951 where he was employed by Durion Company.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Thomas Malone; his brothers, Orville Malone, Cecil Malone, and Orlyn Malone; his sisters, Stella Massie, Kathleen Lindsey and an infant sister, Maxine.
He is survived by a sister, Emogene Miller, of Waterloo; a brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Audrey Malone, of Pedro; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends and neighbors.
Funeral will be 2 p.m.. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, with the Rev. Max Donahue officiating. Burial will follow in Slabfork Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
