OAK HILL — Cecil Cade, 70, of Oak Hill died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson.
The Lawrence County native was born April 18, 1938, the son of the late Charlie and Mayme Sharp Cade.
He attended Waterloo Elementary School and was affiliated with the Church of Christ. He was employed for Oakley Collins as a logger.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Francis Cade, Donald Cade, Kenneth Cade and Charles Cade; and four sisters, Violet Morgan, Rosetta Herdman, Mildred Ashworth and Nola Bolt.
He is survived by four daughters, Mildred Cade, of Thurman, Shari Wells, of Boyd County, Ky., Crystal Cade, of Waterloo and Penny Cade, of Tennessee; four sons, Mike Wheeler, of Gallia County, Louis Wheeler, of Lorain, Tim Atckerson, of Dayton and Marty Cade, of Tennessee; two brothers, Jim Cade, of Waverly and Harold Cade, of Pedro; three sisters, Marge Fetters, of Ironton, Lucille Baer, of Ashland, Ky. and Betty Roark, of Columbus;
nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Macedonia Cemetery with the Rev. James Cremeans officiating. There will be no public visitation. Phillips Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
