MCKEE, Ky. — June Dale Jenkins, 43, of McKee, formerly of Ironton, Ohio, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008. He was the husband of Glinda Muncy Jenkins, who survives.
He was born Feb. 25, 1965, in Ironton, a son of the late Vint and Evelyn Jordan Jenkins.
He and his wife were foster parents and over the years cared for 119 children in need of a home.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death a son, James Adam Jenkins; and a sister, Margaret Lucille Jenkins.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Peggy Nicole McAllister, of Canton, Ga., Michael John Jordan Jenkins, Samuel Paul Jenkins and Heidi Mae Jenkins; his brothers and sisters and their spouses, Charles and Hilda Jenkins, George and Josetta Jenkins, John and Mary Jenkins, Lonzo and Goldie Jenkins and Judy and Donnie Bailey, all of Pedro, Ohio, Hazel and Jack Donley, of Kennesaw, Ga., Clifford and Linda Jenkins, Barbara and Gordon Bailey, Nancy Hall and Ron Ridgeway and Delpha and Danny Bloomfield, all of Ironton; his father-in-law- Jim Muncy and Carol of McKee; his mother-in-law, Shirley Donley and Paul of Merritt Island, Fla.; and two sisters-in-law, Jamie and Leland Miyahara of Dayton, Ohio and Cheryl Brookshire and Joe Sendelbach, of Merritt Island; his grandmother, Granny Ward, of McKee, KY.
Funeral service was Oct. 8 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Marvin Sams and Bro. Gerald Maupin officiating. Burial followed in the Ingram Cemetery. Pallbearers were D.J. Radcliff, John Jenkins Jr., Shane Brookshire, Chad Brookshire, Max Miyahara, David Donley, Rick Bailey, Leland Miyahara and Joe Sendelbach. Honorary pallbearers were Johnie Muncy, Bobby Hornsby, Maynard Byrd, Matt Muncy, Ed Hensley, John Lainhart, Henry Clay McQueen, Tim Tankersley, Lee Mobley and Porter Muncy.
