LLOYD, Ky. — Phillip Charles Howard, 71, of Lloyd, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at Bryant Health Care in Ironton, Ohio.
He was born May 31, 1937 in York, Ky., a son of the late Ernie and Renie Marie Gentry Howard.
He was a retired carman for CSX Railroad. He was of the Christian Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evalena “Eva” Marshall Howard, who died Oct. 30, 2006; three brothers, Clifford Howard,Ledford Howard, and Gifford Howard; and four sisters, Ethel Howard, Mary Howard, Opal Ruggles and Tressie Matthews.
He is survived by two daughters, Tammy Scott and her husband Michael, of Ironton, and Deanna Scott and her husband Billy, of Lexington; four grandchildren, Jacob Scott, Jordan Scott, Arlo Scott and Henry Scott; two sisters, Evelyn Thompson, of Toledo, Ohio, and Joann Sandefur, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and a brother, Ernie Howard Jr., also Toledo.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Wright’s Funeral Home with Bros. Robbie Bond and Harry Sanders officiating.
