Carol June Johnson Mabery, 73, of Ironton died Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, in Kettering.
The Ironton native was born Sept. 28, 1935, the daughter of the late Elmer Anderson and the late Bessie Dickerson Anderson.
She was a graduate of Dawson Bryant High School. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith and lived most of her life in the Coal Grove area.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband: Nicholas Lee Johnson; her second husband, Ray Mabery; her daughter, Cheri Lee Johnson Smith and a brother, Earl Anderson.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Sherri Johnson, of Coal Grove; a brother and sister-in-law, Elmer Ray and Joan Anderson, of Melbourne, Fla.; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary Hale, of Columbus, Hazel Fields, of Ironton, and Dottie and Bob O’Connell of Hudson Falls, N.Y.; a brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Glenna Anderson, of Milton, Fla.; her companion, Howard Daniels, of Kettering; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Highland Memorial Gardens with the Rev. James Beals officiating. Visitation will be noon-1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home. To offer condolences to the family please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
