Lowell “Curly” Mayes, 75, of Proctorville, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2008. He was the husband of Shirley Mayes, who survives. Graveside service will be 12:30 p.m. today at Perkins Ridge Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by V.F.W. 1064 of Huntington, W.Va. Arrangements are under the direction of Hall Funeral Home.
