PROCTORVILLE — Residents in Rome Township have called in reports to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office about a woman suspected of stealing or attempting to steal money.

Sheriff Timothy Sexton says the callers have identified the woman as 5’2’’ tall, slightly heavy with long black hair. She is approaching elderly residents at their home seeking to convince residents they know her, according to a sheriff’s release.

She is also with a small child. Anybody with any knowledge of this is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 532-3525 or 867-3157.
