JAMES FULLERTON

COAL GROVE — James Calver Fullerton, 88, of Coal Grove, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 22, 1920 in Coal Grove, the son of the late James Burton and Sarah Edith Calver Fullerton. He was a lifelong resident of Coal Grove, a retired clerk for the C&O Railroad (CSX) and attended the Coal Grove Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a 1938 graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James David Fullerton in 1961; three sisters, Mildren Harmon, Mary Deborah Fullerton, and Genevieve Riggle; and two brothers, Herbert Eugene and Robert Francis Fullerton.
On Nov. 20, 1941, he was united in marriage to Laura Jane Stephenson Fullerton and they celebrated 67 years of marriage. Also surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, John Stephen and Donna Fyffe Fullerton, of Ironton; a daughter, Jane Fullerton and her husband, Thomas Jenkins, of Columbus; a granddaughter, Mikelle Ann Sheffield and husband, Michael; three great grandchildren, Zachary Fine, Noah and Luke Sheffield; a sister and brother-in-law, Hazel and Don Richards of Palm Harbor, Fla.
Private funeral services will be in Woodland Cemetery with Pastor Ruth Carter Crist officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Tracy Brammer Funeral Home.
