PEDRO — Myrtle Delawder, 75, of Pedro, passed away Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital. She was born Nov. 3, 1932, in Lawrence County, the daughter of the late William E. and Madie Russell McFann.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
She was a homemaker and a 1950 graduate of Decatur-Washington High School in Blackfork. She has lived all of her life in the Pedro area and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, Ford Delawder, whom she married January 1951; a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Trudy Delawder of Oak Hill; one grandson and his wife, Jason A. and Stephanie Delawder; two great-grandsons, William and Isac Delawder; one brother, Eugene “Gene” McFann of Decatur; two brothers and sisters-in-law of Fairborn; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today at Vernon Furnace Cemetery with the Rev. Leon Dalton officiating. There is no visitation and arrangements are by Phillips Funeral Home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
